Florence, what sparked your interest in working within digital design?
I have always loved drawing and come from quite a creative family. I managed a local pub for a few years after graduating before realising I wanted to learn more and work full time in a more creative role, rather than doing the odd bit of freelancing here and there!
What’s your typical day to day like in the Hyped HQ?
Days in the studio are caffeine-fuelled and can get pretty hectic, but 99% of our conversations will revolve around food or the countdown to beers on a Friday afternoon.
Typically, I spend most of my day on InDesign. Our projects can range from creating Social Posts, designing banners or producing new websites and emails. No day at Hyped is the same!
What is your favourite project to date?
I’ve recently created my first website which I’m super proud of! It was a fantastic opportunity for me to develop my skill set and sink my teeth into a new project that’s been completely different to my previous work, especially with the freedom the client gave me to really create something unique.
Do you have a favourite memory with the Hyped team so far?
My favourite experience or perhaps incident has to be the team outing to Beerex this year. The Hyped team have a real family feel to it and the relaxed office atmosphere is normally extended on to the pub after hours too!
Outside of Hyped, are there any advertisement campaigns that’s captured you?
Hendricks have done some really cool campaigns and pop-up events! I’m a bit of a sucker for packaging and the company Big Fish have created some of my favourite design work producing work for companies such as Sipsmiths Gin, Belvoir and Biscuiteers.
Do you extend your creativity outside of the office?
I studied Illustration at the Arts University Bournemouth and still regularly draw and produce prints and cards to sell at fairs and online. I’m hoping to get back into the swing of things and do more over the summer!
Lastly, what’s your favourite gif?
